Just stop. And restart.

I haven’t written here for a while—and not because I haven’t had some wonderful wanderful adventures. Or because I didn’t want to or had writer’s block or because haven’t had fantastic ideas and words swirling in my head during the cracks of my day and as I was falling asleep.

I just couldn’t seem to stop to do it.

But sometimes that’s exactly what you need to do.

You just need to stop.

Curl into your favorite chair—the one that fits you just right— and free yourself of the ridiculous lie that you should be doing something else.

This is exactly what you should be doing.

Block out the stupid noise, the bullshit, and the bullshitters with good music.

Or total silence.

And then—then—let loose. Dive back into the reckless adventure of writing the words you love about the things you love.

Restart.

(I’m back, and my poetry has moved to a site that will launch at a later date.)
